Suzi Ragsdale

About

Some time ago I happened to be in Branson, Missouri and caught a show by Suzi and Verlon Thompson. At the time I was very impressed so I purchased a CD (Out Of Our Hands).

I’ve been interested in song writing for most of my life, and one of the pet peeves of musicians and songwriters is people always trying to categorize music. Well instead of battling people attempting to categorize my music and the music I like, I created a new genre of music.

The new genre is called “horse whispering music“. When I tell people of this new genre, the first question they ask is, “What is horse whispering music?” Since it’s somewhat of a difficult thing to explain, I gathered together a collection of music that I feel best represents “Horse Whispering Music”. Three of Suzi’s songs made it into the Horse Whispering Music collection.

Since that time I’ve been trying to find out where people can obtain Suzi’s music. However, I was unsuccessful in locating her first. A few years ago she was in Europe, but then dropped out of sight. I’ve created this site to gather together the followers she has, and to help share any information that might be available. Her record company seems to have gone out of business, but I did find a place for people to purchase her music. She has contacted me after someone gave me her email address and I contacted her. Then she seemed to be getting back into the music biz and she setup a myspace page so I contacted her again there. She finally got back to me and I’m happy to say she has taken over SuziRagsdale.com. As long as she lets me I’ll continue to operate SuziRagsdale.org (the unofficial fan site).
